Minister's Special Assistant Arrested Again

After two weeks of our publication which imputed some wrongful behaviour against Mr Kofi Boateng, the Special Assistant to the Volta Regional Minister, the Minister’s Assistant, has again fallen foul of the law.

Mr Boateng was arrested by the Dambai Police and charged for careless and reckless driving and causing harm. On 24th February this year, on board an official vehicle, Toyota Land Cruiser, with registration number VR 483 C, the Special Assistant, according to reliable sources, was travelling to Krachi, on holidays with his mistress without the knowledge his boss, the Regional Minister nor his deputy.

Information gathered by The Independent, indicates that the Special Assistant, spent two days at Krachie and Dambai. After the third and final leg of his visit, he decided to return to Ho. On his way back, the Special Assistant, this reporter discovered drove over heaps of sand which were deposited between Dambai and Krachi.

He instantly lost control and skidded off the road with the vehicle somersaulting several times before landing. The vehicle was badly damaged with the other occupants sustaining several bruises and injures. The other occupants were treated and discharged by the Hohoe Government Hospital.
