The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Sheik I.C. Quaye yesterday visited the bereaved families of the victims of last weekend's flood in Accra.

The Minister expressed his condolences and prayed for the deceased. He requested family members to liaise with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Sub-Metro Chairman, Mr. Seth N. Bortier on possible assistance.

Sheikh I.C. Quaye consoled Madam Patience Korkodi, mother of Cynthia Korkodi, who was a 20-year-old student of Labone Secondary School, and Mr. Opoku-Mensah, father of Theodora Mensah, 20-year-old computer student.

The resident of a third victim of last Sunday's flood is yet to be traced.

Earlier Sheik Quaye and Members of the Kpeshie Sub-Metro visited the scene where the drowning took place.

The Minister tasked the Metro members to educate the people to seek advice from building experts before undertaking any construction.

It came to light that most of the buildings have no building permit.
