Minister Blame Alien Herdsmen

....FOR INTRODUCING ANIMAL DISEASES INTO GHANA

The Minister of Agriculture, Major Courage Quashigah(rtd), has expressed concern about the activities of alien herdsmen and blamed them for introducing various animal diseases, which affect livestock, into the country.

According to him, the animals were not subjected to any veterinary examination and had no permits to enter Ghana.

He was opening a three-day workshop on strategies to control Contagious Bovine Pleuro Pneumonia (CBPP) in Accra yesterday.

Forty vertinary experts from West, Central and East Africa are attending.
