Mills campaign team say Kuffour is scared of debating Mills

The Mills for President Campaign Team says it has learnt with disappointment the decision by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. J A. Kufour, not to take part in a debate with Professor J.E.A. Mills, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the Communications Coordinator of the Mills Campaign team, Mr. Ekwow Spio- Gabrah, the decision was conveyed to the team on JOY FM’s Frontpage programme by the Campaign manager of the NPP, Mr. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.

He added that analysts believe that Mr. Kuffour’s handlers are attempting to shield him from allowing Ghanaians to know the real Kuffour.

According to Mr. Spio Gabrah, during international conferences such as those at the United Nations, summit meetings of the Organisation of African Unity and others, countries are judged by their public speaking and the debating abilities of their leaders.

He added that it is the expectation of the Mills Campaign Team that the people of Ghana will take Mr. Kuffour's’ lack of confidence, lack of bravery and lack of courage into account when voting on December 28.
