Mills' 'angry' family wants BNI to grill Boateng Gyan over death claims

The family of the late President John Mills is asking the Bureau of National Investigations to invite persons claiming to know the cause of his death.

Media reports suggest National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan has threatened to spill the bean about who killed the late President.

Although Mr. Gyan has denied these reports, the opposition New Patriotic Party insists that should not put the matter to rest.

Sister of the late president, Mary Dennis who described the development as “awful” in an interview with Starr News said the BNI must invite those claiming knowledge of how the late President died.

“It’s very awful and I wouldn’t want anybody to be in the state in which we are, it’s not easy to have lost somebody so dear then every now and then somebody tells you they know what happened… those who are saying this I think, they are not Ghanaians if they are, they would know how we feel about our dead," a very livid madam Dennis said.

“Those who are alleging must be [taken] to the BNI for them to prove anything that they think that they saw or they think that happened because we are really fed up… it’s so awful [they should] spare us because it hasn't been easy”.

She added that the family of the late President is satisfied with the postmortem report and is not interested in any further enquiry.

“There was a postmortem and we are satisfied [with] what really happened because nobody is claiming that there was a foul play so I don’t see where this thing is coming from,” she said.
