Mills’ achievement in two years is commendable -Minister

Contrary to speculations that the President Mills led government has done little
or nothing at all in the last two years of assuming office, the Brong Ahafo
regional Minister Kojo Nyamekye Marfo says government has done exceedingly well
considering the initial circumstances.

He said the Mills administration has done so well in the Brong Ahafo region to
the extent that even the detractors sing its praise.

‘’President Mills and his entourage will be highly satisfied with the level of
development that has come to the region, it’s phenomenal’’ the regional minister
said.
Speaking to Gold News ahead of the President’s visit to the region from the 5th
– to 7th of April to monitor and evaluate the impact of the better Ghana in the
region, the regional minister indicated that the President will be satisfied
and elated at the end of his three day tour.
As part of programs the President is expected to address the chiefs and people
of the region to make an inquest into the impact of the better Ghana agenda,
inspect ongoing projects, inaugurate projects and also cut-sod for the
commencement of projects.
Some of the activities the president will be engaging in includes, an inspection
of the Nkoranman Senior High School Getfund projects, cut-sod for the
commencement of work on the Berekum-Seikwa- Nsawkaw road, commission 6-unit
classroom block, and commission 2 No. 4-Unit Junior staff Quarters.
The rest of the projects are, the commissioning of Nurses Quarters a Kwame
Danso, commission hospital ward at Atebubu,sod-cutting for the Atebubu-Kwame
Danso road, commissioning of rural electrification project at Fiaso in the
Techiman Municipality amongst others.

The Regional Minister Kwadwo Nyamikye Marfo said, the achievements of the Mills
led government are commendable and worth showcasing.
He said though the three day visit is not enough to inspect all the projects,
the people of the Brong Ahafo are prepared to give the president a rapturous
welcome and renew their confidence in the President and the National Democratic
Congress (NDC).

The nationwide working visits by the President is in tandem with the better
Ghana the president promised to build which hinges on investing in people, job
creation, building a strong economy and infrastructure and running an open and
honest government.

President Mills had toured the Upper East and West in the same manner and will
be touring all ten regions of Ghana to monitor and evaluate the spate of
development two years into his administration.
‘’The president’s vision of ensuring fairness and equity in the distribution of
the national cake has been a blessing to the Brong Ahafo region as his good
works are evident across the regions, and I say the chiefs and people of the
region are grateful to government for focusing attention on the development of
deprived communities’’.kojo Nyamekye Marfo said.
