Mills Will Pull 90% Votes – Nii Lante Vanderpuije

By: Isaac Dzidzoamenu

A Presidential Staffer, Nii Lante Vanderpuije has stated that His Excellency John Evans Atta Mills will obtain eighty five percent (85%) to ninety percent (90%) of the total vote cast during the upcoming presidential primaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be held in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.

“President Mills would win the elections by 85% to 90% of the vote during the delegate conference by our great party the NDC to be held in Sunyani which would be very peaceful,” he averred.

He disclosed this in an exclusive interview with the Crystal Clear Lens newspaper recently at the Castle, Osu, stating that President John Mills would surely emerge victorious in the presidential primaries of the party. The presidential staffer was confident that delegates across the country are waiting anxiously for July to cast their vote for Prof. Mills to continue the ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ Ghanaians are enjoying under the current political dispensation. He said the regional tours the President was embarking speaks volumes of what Prof. Mills can do in terms of infrastructural development and poverty reduction among the Ghanaian populace especially with those in the hinterland.

“Building of classrooms, ongoing road constructions, drilling of boreholes to get water for the people among other interventions that have been completed among others, economic stability to enhance business and industries across the country are all indications that would give victory to the President come July,” he maintained.

He said there are no cracks in the NDC party as perceived by people adding that the party would come out from the Delegates Conference stronger and united to win the forth coming 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections.

“The New Patriotic Party (NPP), are our archrivals and common political opponent so we would have to come together to battle them to retain power come 2012 even though it is perceived that the internal wrangling might cost us. This would not happen in the sense that the NDC always brings surprises,” he affirmed. The presidential staffer was with strong conviction that the Prof. Mills Campaign Team would work hard to bring victory to their leader and continue to win the 2012 presidency for sure because Ghanaians would want the current administration to continue on its ‘Better Ghana Agenda’.

He further stated that the Campaign Team of President Mills would continue with its decent campaigning adding that winning political power is not a ‘do and die affair’ that should break the great NDC party. Nii Lante disclosed however that the ambition of the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings to contest for the presidential primaries was something they knew since 2004 and were well prepared to meet her so victory would surely be on the side of Prof Mills.

He rebuffed allegations that President Mills has neglected party faithful and has engaged non-party members in the current administration adding that, “it is unthinkable to say that the President is not committed to the welfare of the NDC.”

He said despite the false allegations being peddled round by their opponent, Friends of Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings (FONKAR), the Get Atta Mills Endorsed (GAME) Campaign Team would not be disturbed by it but rather let delegates know the realities on ground so as to bring victory not only to President Mills but the NDC as a whole.
