Mills Phoning Delegates To Vote For Him?

Barbara Asamoah, Spokesperson for Get Atta Mills Endorsed [GAME] a pro Mills’ faction, has revealed that the GAME team has resorted to calling up delegates daily to remind them of their promise to support President John Mills’ second bid for the presidency.

According to Ms Asamoah, this has become necessary because of what she calls “some deliberate distortion of information as well as misrepresentation of facts” in the media, hence she said, GAME has “resorted to this means to allay the fears and calm the frail nerves of troubled delegates".

Speaking in an interview on Xfm 95.1, Barbara intimated that some delegates were not decisive in the choice to make, hence it was prudent to address their concerns, adding that when the need arises, the President has been involved in either personally phoning delegates or addressing them at centralized meetings.

This, she said, is in spite of his heavy schedule of balancing state duties and running a campaign for his second term in office.

On members of the NDC who had high aspirations and hopes upon the attainment of power of the NDC but now feel left out of the party, Barbara assured such people that things will fall in place in due course.

She further added that reshuffles and other democratic means were options still on the table of President John Mills.

Using herself as an example, Ms Asamoah remained optimistic that aggrieved party people will be appeased in due time, saying, "I have contested elections on behalf of the NDC three times in four years, I am the only one with that record; but I didn't make noise about it. With time I have been given the opportunity to work for the First Gentleman of the land and it has been fulfilling".
