Mills Can No Longer Guarantee The Safety Of Ghanaians.

A PRESS RELEASE BY DEMOCRATIC YOUTH FORUM (DYF)
ON
Growing Insecurity In The Country- President Mills Can No Longer Guarantee The Safety Of Ghanaians.

President Atta Mills has completely lost the fight to protect the general security of Ghanaians; hence, the Democratic Youth Forum is calling on his exit come 2012. He can no more guarantee the safety of Ghanaians as he and his National Security Advisor, General Nunoo Mensah are both sleeping on their jobs.
In fact, the Democratic Youth Forum sincerely believes that the skirmishers at Nakpanduri and Kpemeli in the Bunkpurugu Yunyoo District on 6th June, 2012 between Konkombas and Bimobas could have been prevented if the Northern Regional Minister, Moses Mabenga had been a little bit proactive. The Bimobas alleged that the Northern Regional Minister tacitly supported the konkombas.
As the President of the Republic of Ghana and his appointees are always sleeping on the job, Mr. Mark Wayongo, who was aware of the impending communal violence between the Tindongo and Namoligo Communities in the Talensi-Nabdam District of the Upper East Region, virtually did nothing, allowing innocent people to be murdered.
Wa Na Fuseine Pelpuo, the twin brother of Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo, was saved by divine intervention when in an attempt to shoot him; somebody crossed the bullet and died.
As if the comedy of fantastic errors was not enough, the mother of all ineptitude was to be displayed by the Central Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwaa Doe. When Nana Kojo Aguasia was killed, the Central Regional Minister threw caution to the winds by suggesting that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s so –called genocidal comment prompted the killing of the clan leader, Nana Kojo Aguasia, and the subsequent communal violence between the settler Ewes and the Fantes.
A day after, it was established that the said Nana was killed because of coconut, hence his alleged killer was arrested, therefore making nonsense of what the Central Regional Minister had earlier wanted the whole world to believe. Ama Benyiwaa Doe is still the Central Regional Minister whilst President Mills looks on helplessly.
In the case of Volta Region, the intention of Togbe Gabusu not to allow any Muslim to be buried in his land after the youth of the Muslim Community Vandalized the hospital at Hohoe was not a secret to the Volta Regional Minister, Mr. Kamel. As to how that degenerated into a full blown conflict, the probable reason is that he is one of the Team B Ministers Dr. Spio Gabrah once referred to.
All these communal violence took place within two weeks and the only achievement of the National Security advisor, General Nunoo Mensah in these conflicts was to engage in frivolities and trivialities as well as absurdities for instance, whilst people were being killed here and there in the month of June 2012 only, General Nunoo Menssah chose to be talking of how Gizelle Yadzi had told him that he had twins with the former President Kuffour.
The DYF does not see General Nunoo Mensah as credible and serious person to hold the position of a security advisor since he enjoys acting as an information Minister or a co-spokesperson of the presidency.
As a result of these conflicts including the murder of Dr. Desmond Kaba at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital without any clue of his assassins, which President Mills would describe as contract killing, the DYF think that it is high time President Mills is rejected in the December 2012 general elections.
When it comes to security issues, the Mills-led administration is the worst in the history of Ghana, which indeed is unprecedented. Even under military regimes, the leaders were more proactive to prevent needless blood shedding.
