Military officer in court for assaulting cop

A military officer, Staff Sergeant Seth Alloryitoh has been put before an Accra District Court for assaulting a Police Officer in uniform at Appolonia city, a suburb in Accra.

According to the facts sheet, Police Chief Inspector Samuel Donyoh, an officer stationed at the National highway patrol unit in Tema, was given a hefty blow on his eyes by the military Officer in the line of duty over a misunderstanding.

Staff Sergeant Alloryitoh, pleaded guilty with explanation when he was put before court.

However, the court changed his plea to not guilty ordering that the prosecution would have to proof their case.

The case has been adjourned to the 24th of May 2018. He was granted bail to the tune of GHc7,000.00 with two sureties.
