Apremdo (W/R), Sept. 20, GNA - A military commander has urged soldiers to remain alert and jealously protect the integrity of their profession and that of the country by strictly observing the values of discipline, loyalty and dedication to duty.
Lieutenant Colonel Francis Vib-Sanziri, Commanding Officer of the Second Battalion of Infantry at Apremdo, near Takoradi, said for individual soldiers to achieve success in their career, they must always respect and obey the orders of their superiors.
He was speaking at a send-off reception organized by the Unit at the Myohaung Barracks, Apremdo, in honour of Major Albert Dawohoso, who had been reassigned to the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Accra.
Lt. Col. Vib-Sanziri said Major Dawohoso exhibited rare qualities of an excellent soldier that made him a role model who would be remembered by officers and men of the Unit for a long time. He said Major Dawohoso's leadership qualities helped to maintain perfect unity and hard work among personnel, which led to successes in many fields by the Unit. The Unit presented gifts, including a double-door refrigerator, to Major Dawohoso.
