The Salle Roumaine Preot Banquet Hall at 800 Christophe-Colomb Avenue in Montreal was the scene of a spectacular Golden Jubilee Birthday Bash thrown on behalf of Mercy Kwateng Amanin proprietress of Mama Africa Beauty Supplies, the largest unisex beauty supplies chain in Montreal. Over 500 revelers jam-packed the Hall for one of the most elegant and well attended 50th birthday celebrations in Montreal last year. The highlight of the celebrations was when Nana Kwateng Amanin (Montreal Hene), husband of Mercy expressed his fondest love to his wife for being the most caring wife. This was followed by her children, Kevin & Edwin King Kwateng who also thanked their mommy for being the best mother in the world.

Participants at the birthday bash came to Montreal from other parts of Canada, USA, Europe and Ghana to help wish Mercy Kwateng Amanin a momentous birthday celebrations. Among the special invited guests were the Ghana High Commission to Canada Dr. Mrs. Ivy Amoakohene and Ghanaian musician Prophet Seth Frimpong. The climax of the event was when Mercy Kwateng Amanin, supported by family and friends took to the floor and delivered some spectacular dances moves.
