The unfortunate stabbing that saw a former student of the University of Ghana, Martin Tweneboah Koduah, alias Chief Tipsy killed Saturday has generated lots of conversation on social media.

The Commonwealth Hall of the university was shocked when what started as a argument led to the death of one.

According to a statement by the Old Vandals Association “it began as a mere argument between the two (the deceased, Chief Tipsy and the killer, George) in a bus from Amrahia to campus “(after attending the funeral of the late Vandal Lion).”

The situation, according to the Association, prompted the driver to kick the two men off the bus. The statement added that “when they got to the Hall, they had not stopped. It was at this time that the killer allegedly grabbed the knife of the khebab seller and cut the victim several times with it.

The victim bled profusely and was rushed to the Legon Hospital by the killer and some Vandals.” The incident, according to the statement occurred at “about 6: 30 pm on Saturday, December 9 2017, at the ‘Charging Grounds’ in the Commonwealth Hall,” adding that the deceased was declared dead around 7 pm as “doctors could not save his life.”

Meanwhile, the management of the University of Ghana has assured students, parents and the university community that the institution is safe for academic works despite the murder of an Old Vandal by a fellow Vandal on campus at the weekend.
