“At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or what you’ve accomplished. It’s all about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” - Denzel Washington.

The above quote by celebrated and award-winning actor Denzel Washington in many ways describes the essence of giving back to society, especially for people who have seen their lives transformed from grass to grace.

It is also the reason we generally admire and respect those who give back because it is easy for us to fall into a sense of moral sleep when we are not faced with the realities of people who are less fortunate than us.

In Ghana, while some celebrities and successful people have made a habit of flaunting their wealth and excesses on social media, others have devoted their time and considerable resources to helping advance the welfare of others.

From Prophet Badu Kobi’s much-publicized car giveaways to the silent philanthropic works of Asamoah Gyan, benevolent Ghanaians have donated millions to charity.

Below, www.ghanaweb.com presents a list of 10 generous personalities whose altruism have changed people's lives.

Kennedy Agyapong

The viciousness and scathing manner with which Kennedy Agyapong attacks issues make it easy for people to assume that he is a man with a steeled heart but in reality, the lawmaker has a heart of gold.
