Medeama blasts Kotoko for leaking confidential documents of Kwame Bonsu

Medeama chief executive James Essilfie has lambasted Asante Kotoko for leaking confidential documents of their midfielder Kwame Bonsu in a bid to prove their innocence over an eligibility protest filed by Coton Sport after their CAF Confederation Cup triumph last weekend.

Officials of the Porcupine Warriors did the unthinkable by releasing confidential documents of the former Gefle enforcer to the media on Thursday after Cameroon lodged a protest with CAF over the ineligibility of the player.

Coton Sport claims the ex-convict was not eligible to feature in their two-legged ties and have slapped in an official protest to the continent's governing body.

The reports appear to have ruffled the Ghanaian giants who leaked the confidential documents of the player to the media in a bid to sway the court of public opinion over the developments.

And Medeama chief James Essilfie has been left shocked with the conduct of the club as it betrays confidentiality between parties.

"Am highly disappointed in Kotoko management for leaking vital documents to media just to prove their innocence and professionalism in Kwame Bonsu and Coton Sports issue,"

"Issue of ITC and CAF registration details should not go out to media.

"If you are not careful with media you may even end up leaking player contract because you want to be seen as a saint."
