A gas leakage in the kitchen of the La branch of Marwako restaurant got residents in the area as well as staff of offices near the eatery running for dear life fearing an imminent explosion similar to the Atomic Junction disaster a week ago.

Workers of two adjoining fuel stations: Total and Goil, were also evacuated to avert disaster.

Fire officers have rushed to the scene to deal with the situation.

It is recalled that seven people were recently killed in the Atomic Junction explosion which happened at a Gas filling station and engulfed two other adjoining fuel stations.
