Manhyia is not associated with Ashanti Times - Publishers

Accra, Feb. 28, GNA - Allied Multimedia Ghana Limited (AMG), Publishers of Ashanti Times, on Monday confirmed that the Manhyia Palace is not associated with the newspaper.

"We wish to state emphatically that Manhyia Palace is truly not associated with the Ashanti Times and we unreservedly regret any embarrassment that the misinterpretation of our noble objectives has caused the Palace."

AMG was reacting to a statement from the Palace last week that some people were associating the Palace with the Ashanti Tines, a regional newspaper, which would soon be launched.

"In fact in our mission statement, we pointed out that Ashanti Times is dedicated to promoting the development of Asanteman within the framework of the overall development of Ghana."

AMG pledged its continued and unflinching loyalty to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Ashantehene, and assured him that pages of the newspaper would be used to support and promote his lofty ideas and programmes for the best interest of Ashanteman and Ghana.
