The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency, Nana Agyei Baffour, has praised the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, for his immense contribution to Ghana’s music industry.

Nana Agyei Baffour joined the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, the NPP National Organiser, Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, and other leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to pay their last respects to the iconic musician.

Speaking to the media on December 13, 2025, the Manhyia South MP highlighted Daddy Lumba’s influence beyond entertainment, noting the memorable songs he composed in support of the NPP.

He emphasised that Daddy Lumba’s unique musical voice, powerful lyrics, and enduring legacy would continue to resonate with Ghanaians for generations.

Daddy Lumba remains one of Ghana’s most celebrated musicians, whose works have left an indelible mark on both the cultural and political landscape of the country.
