Manasseh is no different from Anas; survives on bribe – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong is MP for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong is MP for Assin Central

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong is up against Freelance journalist, Manasseh Azuri Awuni following his latest exposé dubbed “Contract for sale,”.

The documentary by the ace investigative journalists implicates the Public Procurement Authority boss, Adjenim Boateng Adjei in a deal where his personal company is awarded several government contracts through restrictive tender. The documentary by Manasseh also reveals how this company in turn sells off the contracts won to other companies or individuals for a price range between 15% and 20% of the value of the contract.

Many have hailed the journalist for the expose but not the Assin Central legislator.

The aggrieved MP, according to information gathered by ABC News, sees no reason why Manasseh should ‘pretend’ to be exposing corrupt acts when he is himself, a corrupt person. According to Kennedy Agyapong, Manasseh Azure Awuni, just like colleague investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, is corrupt and feeds off threats of expositions to make money.

Speaking on Accra based Oman FM Thursday evening, Kennedy Agyapong refuted ‘revelations’ in the expose describing it as dead on arrival.

“I want to ask Manasseh if he knew Adjenim Boateng Adjei before the expose. If he does, how does he know him? He should tell Ghanaians. Manasseh claims to be genuine but he took bribe at a stadium. I will also expose him. You people (Journalists) think you are smart. I have pictures of him receiving a bribe of 1000 cedis. I do not know why NPP faithfuls are panicking over this. It contains nothing

Because Manasseh is broke, he goes around writing for money. He does not even take a huge amount. He settles for thousand cedis. He takes bribe everyday for survival. He and Anas are no different. He poses as Jesus Christ faking genuineness. Manasseh is worse. I have told you where he received a bribe on Saturday. The stadium. He should be bold enough and come out to refute that he did not take bribe after Newsfile on Saturday,” he said.
