Man wanted for absconding with thousands of cedis from shop owner

A young man by name Peter Agyekum is reported to have absconded with items and money of a shop he manages at Kasoa Downtown worth GHC 8000.

According to the owner of the shop, Etwereso Hemaa, a friend introduced Peter to her when she needed someone to employ to manage her small business. She said the young man was given products worth Ghc 8000, and after working for four months he absconded.

“We ve worked together for 4 months, I don't know him personally... A guy he was staying with brought him to me when I was looking for someone to employ. We started working in March... The total amount he's working with is 7500 and credit cards worth 500gh plus phones for transfers and MoMo But I was told he closed around 10am and has since then not returned home”, she said.

Etwereso Hemaa, who spoke to Ghanaweb confirmed she has since reported the issue to the police at the Kasoa Divisional Police Station and has already posted an alert on social media. Police have since began a search for the young man.
