“After fleeing to my hometown in volta region, I was asleep in the night when I saw a man dressed in white clothing holding a cane in my dream. I also saw Sis Akua standing there with him. She said, ‘See how they have deceived the man to do this to me.’ The man in white flogged me and asked ordered me to go and confess the crime,” he said.

According to Alatusa, the victim, identified as Akua, had done nothing to provoke the attack.

The suspect further claimed that the urge to kill began after he handled human skeletal remains allegedly brought to him by his brother for ritual purposes.

“I also don’t know if it was the spare parts my brother brought, which I touched, that made me do such a thing. He brought human skeletal remains for me to use for rituals for him. Since then, I have always had the urge to behead someone, even my family members,” he alleged.
