A man identified only as ‘Alligator’ has lost his life in a tragic accident while assisting in the loading of a bulldozer onto a low-bed trailer at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

According to citinewsroom.com report on July 31, 2025, eyewitnesses said the trailer, which was being used to transport the heavy machinery, experienced a sudden brake failure during the loading process.

“The trailer which was being used had a brake failure during the loading process, causing him to fall from the top of the low bed which led to his death,” the report said.

At the time of the malfunction, Alligator was reportedly standing on top of the low bed, guiding the operator of the bulldozer.

The brake failure caused the vehicle to jolt forward, leading to his fall.

He was instantly trapped beneath the bulldozer, which landed on him with force, killing him on the spot.

Bystanders who rushed to the scene could do little to save him due to the weight of the equipment.

His body has since been retrieved and deposited at the Ejisu Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Police in the area have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident and determine whether negligence or mechanical failure led to the tragic event.
