Man arrested with narcotics on Anglogold concession

The Western Regional Police have arrested a 28-year old man, Samuel Quarm, for possessing narcotic drugs without authority.

The Western Regional Crime Officer, Mr. J. K. Abraham confirmed the arrest to the GNA in Sekondi on Monday.

He said the suspect, Quarm, was arrested at Nsuta Wassa by two workers of Anglogold Aduapriem Mine.

According to him, Quarm was arrested on the company's concession with dry leaves wrapped in a polythene bag suspected to be Indian Hemp.

Quarm is in police custody assisting the Police in their investigations while the substance had been forwarded for examination in Accra.**
