Techiman (B/A), July 28, GNA - Wia Kontonaa Seidu, a 40-year-old farmer at Aworopataa, has been placed in prison custody for allegedly murdering his junior brother.

The suspect is said to have killed Derry Tang, 25, on a farm at Aworopataa after a misunderstanding between them. Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Superintendent of Police K. Ntim, Techiman Municipal Police Commander, said the suspect was arrested on Saturday for causing harm to his daughter, Zumoli Dori, 15, who stayed with him at Diasempa in Techiman. He said the suspect inflicted several cutlass wounds on his daughter and dumped her in a waste container at Diasempa. Mr Ntim said whilst in police custody two relatives of Wia came to the police station the following day to lodge a complaint that the late Tang was missing.

He said the suspect was brought out from cells and after interrogation he confessed that he had killed Tang and deposited his body on a farm.
