A major cabinent reshuffle is on going .... Ministers are being called into the president's office one-by-one. Some get the pink slip, while others are being re-assigned. According to a credible castle source

  • Charles Bintim, Minister of local Government and Rural Development, who deposited a whopping ?1.95 billion in his personal bank account with the High Street Branch of Barclays Bank within a period of eight months has been fired. Deputy Sports minister O.B. Amoah replaces him

  • Yaw Osafo Maafo, Minister of Education and Sports, has been dismissed. Infamous for the "419" loans a.k.a the IFC & Chinese barber loans when he was the finance minister

  • Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Minister of Regional Integration and NEPAD and Member of Parliament (MP) for Offinso North has lost his position

  • Kwabena Agyepong, Press Secretary to the President, has resigned. Other sources claim he will move to the sports ministry

  • J Ayikoi Otoo Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, is to be replaced by his deputy Joe Ghartey

  • Energy Minister, Prof. Michael Ocquaye, has been fired The NPP MP for Dome-Kwabenya, former Ghana?s High Commissioner to India, was reported to have built 6 houses in one year

  • Kwamina Bartel, minister for Private Sector Development and PSI moves to information. His ministry is to be inco-operated into another ministry

  • Information minister, Dan Botwe, has been relived of his post. The ex-General Secretary of the ruling party was not a favourite on the administration list, due to his opposition to Kufuor?s bid in the past when the NPP was in opposition.

  • Papa Ankomah removed from interior -not confirmed

  • Christine Churcher, Environment and Science Minister, has been sacked - not confirmed
