The President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama has appealed to Ghanaians who are yet to cross check their names in the voters register to do so, as the exercise draws to an end.
Addressing the people of Mankessim in the Central region who were celebrating their festival, President Mahama said the ongoing exhibition exercise is as important as the election itself.
“You all have to go and check your names in the register so that during the voting day you won’t be told that your name is not in the register.
“It is left with two days for the process to be completed, it would be painful to follow a political party and not be able to vote on the Election Day.
"So all of you who have registered, just take time off your busy schedule to visit the centers and cross check your names” President Mahama said.
