Mahama's 'Free SHS here to stay' deceptive and propaganda - Dr. Kingsley Nyarko

The Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board (NAB), Dr. Kingsley Nyarko has fired a shot at former President John Dramani Mahama admonishing Ghanaians to reject deception and propaganda from former President John Mahama regarding government's flagship policies.

"Do not buy into the deceptive and lies of NDC to ensure the sustainability of free education the Akufo-Addo government has implemented", the Executive Secretary admonished when he spoke to Kumasi FM's Nana Yaw Mensah Joel during a telephone interview.

According to the soft-spoken lecturer with the University of Ghana, the former President has no shame after several attempts to ran the policy down hence, his new posture to endorse it.

"Even in government NDC apparatchiks ran several adverts against it. Because they have no shame, they are saying a different thing now", Dr. Kingsley Nyarko fumed during a telephone interview.

Former President Mahama a few weeks ago hinted on how he will review the free SHS policy in order to remove what he describes as ‘bottlenecks’ in the implementation of the policy if voted into power.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has therefore thrown a challenge at the former President and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama to provide his alternative to the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the former president and the NDC have always been against the free SHS policy since its introduction by the Akufo-Addo government in September 2017.

But the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo, laughed off the idea insisting that Ghanaians were in no way ready to hand power over to a man who had earlier promised to scrap such a policy. His Vice, Dr. Bawumia is in agreement and is daring the John Mahama to provide his alternative to Free SHS now.
