Mahama, Amissah-Arthur ticket is a corrupt one- Nana Addo

The Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has pooh-poohed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, describing the Mahama-Amissah-Arthur ticket as a corrupt one.

Addressing party followers in Asokwa of the Upper West Akim Constituency in the Eastern Region, the NPP flag bearer reportedly accused the NDC government of unnecessary expenditure and massive corruption.

To him, the inability of the Mahama administration to arrest the depreciation of the cedi was making life unbearable for the ordinary Ghanaian, hence the need to vote the NDC out in December.

Nana Addo said: “Under former President Kufuor, a six-unit classroom block cost GHC85, 000. But in just three to four years of the NDC government it cost GHc240, 000. How can this be happening? How can we be throwing money out like that?”

He described as “unacceptable because the country’s money could have been used for development.”
