The South Western office of the Mobile Telecommunications Networks (MTN) on Tuesday presented food items to the Western Regional Chief Imam towards a successful celebration of Ramadan.
The annual thirty days of fasting and Prayers mandatory for Moslems is supposed to end today and usher the feast of Eidul Fitr, "festival of breaking of the fast".
Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko, the Manager for the MTN said, "Once again the Eidul Fitr festival is here with us and it is our greatest pleasure, in the name of Almighty Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful for granting us the end of a successful Ramadan season.
We are here today to extend the warmest regards and most sincere wishes from the Management and staff of MTN to you for the relationship we have enjoyed with the Muslim Community over the years."
He said the company cherished the long-standing relationship with the chief imam and the Moslem community.
The Manager said as the leading telecommunications service provider in the country, MTN would continue to invest in state-of-the-art infrastructure to serve subscribers better.
"We will ensure that during the festive period, our products and services are available for all those who need it...We shall also provide celebrants with seamless telecommunication services on the MTN network which include fastest Turbonet internet services," he added.
Dr. Sheikh Ostaz Ali Hassan Ali, the Regional Chief Imam after receiving the donation expressed appreciation to the company for the continual support.
