MTN donates towards Osu Homowo Festival

Ghana’s leading telecommunications giant, MTN has made cash donation of GHC5,000 to the Osu Traditional Council to aid the celebration of this year’s of the Homowo festival.

The donation also included GHC1000 worth of assorted drinks and GHC500 worth of call credit.

Revealing the motivation behind the gesture, the Senior Manager of General Trade, South East, MTN Ghana , Peter Bempeh said that MTN as indigenous African firm deems it worthy to support activities that portray and promote Africa’s rich culture.

He also mentioned that aside the donations, MTN will support other activities lined up by the Council as part of the celebrations.

“As an African brand we believe in tradition so over the years we’ve supported about thirty festivals across the country so that’s a clear demonstration of the kind of belief we have in the African culture. We came here to show love to one of the festivals we always support”, he said”.

“Aside the donation, we are also supporting other activities like the Soo ntanj. We will also showcase some of our products and services to the community.

Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona, Paramount chief and president of Osu Traditional Council applauded MTN for their continued support to the community and encouraged the indigenes to patronize the company’s products and services.
