MP for Juabeng Constituency donates PPEs to Juabeng Government Hospital

The Member of Parliament for the Juabeng Constituency, Ama Pomaa, on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, donated some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies including an undisclosed amount of money to the Juabeng Government Hospital to help the health workers in the fight against the deadly COVID-19.

The supplies include hand sanitizers, hand gloves, liquid soaps, wheel chairs, face masks, Veronica buckets among other protective equipment.

Presenting the equipment at a short ceremony held at the hospital, the MP for the area, Hon Ama Pomaa, said, she was inspired by the need to adequately prepare the health workers in the District to fight COVID-19 in the event that the hospital records any case or suspected case(s).

She promised that, in the coming days, she would be donating even more medical supplies to the hospital and to other health facilities in the constituency in an aggressive drive to arrest the spread of the deadly virus.

On his part, Dr. Buah Bosque-Hamilton, the medical superintendent of the hospital, who received the supplies on behalf of the Hospital Management, thanked the Member of Parliament for this laudable gesture and assured her that the PPE would be used for the intended purpose in order to protect both health workers and persons who visit the hospital from contracting the disease.

In another development, the Juabeng legislator donated some relief items including several bags of rice and other foodstuff as well as money to some of the underprivileged in the constituency to cushion them in this period of restrictions in the wake of the pandemic.

Hon Ama Pomaa also used the occasion to educate her constituents on some safety precautions announced by health experts as very necessary to prevent the contraction and spread of the coronavirus. will work on it
