The Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, widely known as OK Frimpong, has refuted allegations that he had been arrested in the United Kingdom.
In a video shared on social media, the MP, while refuting the allegation, played an audio message of one of his constituents, who he said was a teacher, rejoicing over his supposed arrest.
OK Frimpong, who left the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to contest in the 2024 election as an independent candidate, asserted that the constituent, a female teacher, was happy about his supposed arrest because he left the NPP.

“Abrantipa, I’m in my room, and you can’t imagine how happy I am. I called the engineer who went to Canada, but he said he was not aware and that I should call the MCE, who was in Agogo.
“... I called and asked him what was happening, and he said that he had also heard the same thing and that he had seen people posting it on some platforms that OK’s picture was among some persons who had been arrested,” she said.
