MCE donates food items to Muslims at Madina

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, Hon. Jennifer Dede Afagbedzi on behalf of the Assembly has donated food and other items to the Madina Chief, Ahlhaji Amadu Baba Seidu and his elders last week at the Chief’s Palace.

Making the donation, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Kweku Asiedu who spoke on behalf of the MCE, appealed to Muslims to use the occasion of Eid-Ahda to pray unceasingly for the government and the people of Ghana.

He said the donation was the Assembly’s token to support the chief and his elders as they were about to celebrate the Eid Festival. The MCE also appealed to the Muslim Community to use the occasion to renew their spiritual growth in order to get the full blessings of Allah.

Among the eatables were 45 bags of rice, 44 bags of sugar and 30 cartons of milk which will be distributed to the Muslims Communities within the Municipality. Chief Baba Seidu, on his behalf and that of his elders extended their appreciation to the MCE and the Assembly for their kind gesture.

Chief Baba Seidu also assured the Hon Afagbedzi and her entourage of their preparedness to work with the Assembly for speedy development of the municipality. The Chief prayed for the blessings of Allah for the municipal and the government.
