Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei, one the lawyers for Gregory Afoko standing trial for the murder of Adams Mahama, late Upper East Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has observed that the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako is a liar who has lost credibility.

“Kweku Baako has no credibility and a liar for saying my client did not meet all bail conditions”, Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei described the seasoned journalist when he spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show

A High Court presided over by Justice George Baudi granted Gregory Afoko bail in March 2019 in the sum of ¢500,000 with two sureties to be justified after his lawyers applied. However, the bail was rescinded by another Accra High Court presided over by Justice Merley Afua Wood.

When the issue was tabled for discussion on Wednesday’s edition of Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Kweku Baako noted that per his checks, the bail conditions were not fully met.

“Relative to the fulfilment of the bail condition, there is a gap and if you have not fulfilled the bail conditions, then what is the noise about?” he asked.

However, Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei who spoke to claims dared Mr. Kweku Baako to come out with full details of such claims if indeed the latter is privy to any credible information unknown to the public.

“Kweku Baako always claims to have evidence. Anybody can come out with any paper but as to why it is original or otherwise, let him show it to Ghanaians”, Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei challenged.
