A New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Tema East, Mr Ben Ashitey, has called for cohesion and harmony in the party after the parliamentary primaries for ultimate victory in the 2016 election.
"The NPP is a brand that we have struggled to build and market. I believe we should all be loyal and never seek to undermine the brand we are all passionate about," Mr Ashitey said.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, he said: "The 2016 election presents an extraordinary opportunity for Ghanaians to choose the NPP as the path to national recovery and reconstruction."
Mr Ashitey pleaded with parliamentary aspirants to raise national consciousness among the people and not to make promises which they knew they could not fulfill.
"We need to rethink Ghana and make it a better place. I believe every Ghanaian has a stake in this new Ghana with many opportunities the NPP wants to create," he said.
