Let unity prevail in True Faith Church – General Overseer

Senior Apostle John Owusu Achiaw, General-Overseer of the True Faith Church Ghana, has appealed to members of the church to put the past behind them and work together to grow the church.

This comes on the heels of a High Court ruling, throwing out a suit challenging his eligibility as the leader.

Some members who disapproved his election as General Overseer decided to litigate the matter in court about five years ago, but the case was recently decided in his favour.

Preaching at a thanksgiving service held at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region, he said they should uphold unity and sing from the same hymn sheet.

The focus as a church must be on helping the society to overcome division and uphold “our common humanity”.

Senior Apostle Owusu Achiaw extended an olive branch to the aggrieved members and said the church’s door was opened and that those who left because of the dispute would be welcomed on their return.

He advised that everybody put the interest and general good of the church ahead of any other consideration.

Pastor Emmanuel Kwakye of the Kwahu South ‘A’ Area District of the church, asked the congregation to be supportive of the leadership.
