Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance Analyst and lecturer at the University of Ghana has commended President John Dramani Mahama over his security appointments.
The president has appointed COP Nathan Kofi Boakye rtd. as Director of Operations at the Presidency and Prosper Bani as National Security Advisor.
Other appointments include Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Abdul Osman-Razak as National Security Coordinator and Charles Kipo as the Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
Commenting on these appointments during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah, with particular mention of COP Kofi Boakye, was optimistic that these security experts with their vast experience can enhance Ghana’s security.
He advised them not to slack in the execution of their duties.
He also asked the citizens to facilitate their work by acting responsibly and efficiently playing the role of whistleblowers.
Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah appealed to the citizenry to lend the team their full support, stressing that enjoying peace of mind and safety is of utmost importance.
“Let’s give them the support that they need,” he emphasized.
