Bishop Richard Ahiagbedey, leader of the Adonai Ministries, says only a national development plan that captures the true aspirations of Ghanaians to create a nation of prosperity and inclusiveness.

“What we need now is an all inclusive national development plan that would reflect the Ghanaian spirit and devoid of political partisanship. We must plan ahead, motivate ourselves and redirect all energies to achieve what is noble and dignifying.”

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Tema on national development and cohesion, he said “there is so much to be done so let us ignore what divides us and emphasis on what unites us”.

He called for a national educative system which produces problem-solving people and not people who worry.

“Without the right education, we will not even identify problems let alone find solutions to them. Education as a rite of passage must prepare the Ghanaian to know his or her environment and how to create the right conditions for modern human habitation.”

According to him, “We have many universities. Now the question is: do we have programmes which address our needs and national aspirations? We have many natural resources, fertile land, sunshine and water yet majority of our people are poor and hungry.”
