Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is urging Ghanaians to continue to bond together for the betterment of the country in order to make things great and strong.

Dr. Bawumia who joined the National Chief Imam, Shaykh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Ulama and the Muslim Ummah at the Black Star Square for Eid-ul-Adha prayers on Sunday, assured Muslims that the NPP government recognizes the leadership that Allah has bestowed on the country.

To this end, he revealed that the current government as part of its sacred duty will continue to renew its commitment to the oath of office it took to serve Ghana with dignity.

“As a government, we recognise the leadership that Allah has bestowed on us as a sacred duty which will be required of us on the day of Judgment, so we will continue to renew our commitment to the oath of office that we took and serve Ghana with dignity”, he said.

“I urge the youth to take advantage of all the training programmes that are being rolled out by the Ministry of Inner City and Zongo Development, including an agreement with the Government of Cuba to train 40 youth as Medical doctors each year starting from the year 2020, and equip themselves with the skills necessary for making a meaningful contribution to national development”, he said.

The Vice President also took the opportunity to announce a package from the Saudi King which includes the establishment of a Medical School and 42 Senior High Schools in Ghana.
