Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has taken the Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs to cleaners for attacking the immediate past moderator of Presbyterian Church, Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey.

Mr. Allotey Jocobs described Prof. Emmanuel Martey as “a man of contradictory views who needs spiritual deliverance from constant attacks on only NDC functionaries”

According to the soft- spoken chairman, said the clergy man has demonstrated he is a true sympathizer of NPP and therefore not surprising of his recent comments of accusing former President John Mahama of being unconcerned about the galamsey issue while in office.

But the NPP’s Deputy General who appears to have monitored the regional chairman on several media platforms questioned the host of a political show on Kumasi-based Nhyira Fm why he should invite the likes of Mr. Allotey Jocobs to such big platforms.

He wants the clergy man to be left alone because he is a citizen and deserves the right to speak about issues bothering him in the country wondering why members of the NDC have taken the matter very personal.

“It is not my responsibility to tell who you should invite to contribute on your show. But if you called somebody like Allotey Jacobs what is his level of thinking to issues on board “the Deputy NPP General Secretary asked.

“I am not insulting him but I just want him to know that he is talking to Nana Obiri Boahen, a seasoned politician and a lawyer” he bragged.

“I do not engage in low cost politics like him. But I heard him insulting Prof. Martey and NPP people but all these are not issues to NPP because they even insult their founder and wife” Lawyer Obiri Boahen added.
