General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, USA, Reverend Dr. Douglas Clay has entreated Christians to learn to accept and adapt to the changes and challenges that come with life such that they are minimally affected and can move on rather than brood in difficult times

He said, “In life, facing reality is tough, but the first step towards moving forward is facing reality”, adding that, “you must learn to fight against your doubt”.

According him, anytime Christians find themselves in tough situations that seem hopeless, they should be strong and of good courage to face the storms.

Speaking at Cedar Mountain Assemblies of God during their 'Sheba Day' celebration in Accra, he stated that Christians need to learn from their past mistakes and stay focused in their life journey.

Dr Clay encouraged them to be fighters and do away with the numerous disappointments they’ve been through and move forward.

He stated that, applying human effort together with God’s will successfully see them through their problems.

He averred that, since life is full of surprises, pains, adversaries, among other dreadful things, Christians need to put away the spirit of fear and be bold to face reality.

“In times of uncertainty, the greatest enemy is fear” and this can prevent Christians from progressing, Dr Clay said.

Dr Clay asked them to starve every doubt, fear and rather channel their energies into feeding their faith, which would in turn energize them to stay stronger in their trial days.

Leader of Cedar Mountain Assemblies of God, Rev Stephen Wengam explained that, Sunday, May 26, 2019 happens to be a historic day in the life of the church because two prominent people, General Superintendent of USA, Rev Dr Douglas Clay, General Superintendent of Ghana, Rev Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso happened to worship with them in their church after the official unveiling of the Headquarters in Accra on Saturday.

He added that, the day’s celebration was captioned ‘Sheba Day’ because of their presence to help cut the sod for the construction of Cedar House Cathedral.
