LIVESTREAMING: US Speaker addresses Ghana’s Parliament

The United States of America’ s House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is currently at Ghana’s Parliament addressing the country’s legislators.

Leading a delegation of American lawmakers, Nancy Pelosi is likely to base her address on strengthening the Ghana-USA relationship.

She is the first speaker from USA to speak in Ghana’s parliament.

According to Pelosi, “It is a special honor to be the first U.S. Speaker of the House to address the illustrious Parliament of Ghana, as we build on the partnership between our nations”.

Pelosi and her team have already visited the Elmina and Cape Coast castles from where African slaves, at a rate of 30,000 a year, began their one-way journey into servitude in America as part of the Year of Return activities.
