A Public University Draft bill seeking to among other things rename some public universities, as well as take majority membership on the universities’ councils from the university community and hand over same to the government has received massive protest since its introduction by the education Ministry.

Many have argued in this regard that the bill among other things seeks to politicize the academic community and censor the freedom of public universities.

The issue of whether it depicts control on the part of government will be looked at by panelists in today’s edition of Newsfile.

Also, the disbandment of vigilantes and the subsequent meeting of the Peace Council Members with the two major parties; NPP and NDC will feature.
The $2 billion Master Project Support agreed between Ghana and China in 2018 to address major infrastructure challenges in the country; the Sinohydro Deal will also be tackled on the show.
