LIVESTREAMING: Kofi Annan Peace and Security Forum

A maiden forum to honor the memory and legacy of international Peacekeeper, Kofi Annan is underway.

The Forum is organized in memory of HE Kofi Annan, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations who dedicated his life to mobilizing political will to address evolving human security threats.

The forum is under the Distinguished Patronage of HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana and the Chairmanship of HE Dr. Mohamed Ibn Chambas, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the UN Office for West Africa and Sahel (UNOWAS). Over 150 delegates including, eight (8) Former African Heads of State/Presidents will grace the occasion.

The theme for this maiden event is “Peace Operations in the Context of Violent Extremism in Africa’ and is being held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel from 4-5 September 2019 in Accra, Ghana.
