The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding its National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi as the party takes another major step in its reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general election.
More than 7,000 delegates from across the country are expected to participate in the conference and elect the party’s next national executives for the next phase of its political organisation.
The elections will determine the leadership of the party at the national level, with contests for positions including National Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons, General Secretary, National Treasurer, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser and National Youth Organiser.
The Electoral Commission (EC) is supervising the elections, while the NPP’s National Officers Elections Committee is responsible for the party’s internal electoral arrangements.
The conference will also consider proposed amendments to portions of the party’s constitution before voting begins.
