In a historic milestone for education in the region, Galaxy International School proudly hosted the first-ever International ACAC (International Association for College Admission Counseling) Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Institute.
The landmark event, held from October 24–26, 2025, brought together over 110 university representatives, secondary school counselors, educators, and consultants at the school’s Ashale Botwe campus.
This marks the first time this prestigious institute has been held in both Ghana and the Sub-Saharan Africa region, placing Galaxy International School and the nation at the center of global educational dialogue.
The historic gathering was designed with a dual purpose: to equip secondary school counselors within the Sub-Saharan Africa region with advanced university admission advising tools and global university networks and to provide universities from around the world with a vital platform to build connections and deepen their understanding of students in this dynamic market.
The two-day institute served as a hub of energy and collaboration.
Participants engaged in a robust program of in-depth discussions, high-impact educational sessions, and focused presentations.
A key highlight was the vibrant university fair, which allowed regional counselors to interact directly with admissions officers from a diverse range of leading institutions worldwide, fostering invaluable connections.
Key sessions provided attendees with deeper insights into international educational processes, specific admission requirements and the latest information on fees and scholarships.
The program also explored the unique challenges and opportunities that students from the region face when applying to universities abroad.
As the host institution, Galaxy International School demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to advancing global education in Africa.
The school’s campus provided a world-class setting for this high-level professional development and networking event.
By bringing this historic International ACAC event to Ghana, Galaxy International School reaffirmed its dedication to fostering global connections and enhancing educational pathways for all students.
The success of this first-ever Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Institute, which required International ACAC membership and welcomed participants of all experience levels has set a new standard and significantly strengthened the bridge between the region’s dedicated educators and the global higher education community.
