The Appointments Committee of Parliament has begun the vetting of Bawku Central Member of Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, who has been nominated as the Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
Ayariga is among several other nominees scheduled to appear before the committee as Parliament advances the process of considering recent presidential nominations to key ministerial and judicial positions.
Ayariga’s vetting will provide members of the Appointments Committee with the opportunity to scrutinise his qualifications, experience, policy positions and suitability for the Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs portfolio.
