The Muslim version of the National Day for Prayer and Thanksgiving is being held at the National Mosque of Ghana in Accra on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

This event follows the Christian version of the National Day for Prayer and Thanksgiving, which was held earlier at the forecourt of the State House.

The Muslim version of the Prayer and Thanksgiving is being led by the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu.

President John Dramani Mahama and his vice, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, are among the dignitaries.

The service aims to bring together faith leaders and citizens in a collective moment of reflection, gratitude, and intercession for the nation.

The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, taking place on Tuesday, is both a symbolic and meaningful call to spiritual reflection, national gratitude, and renewed unity.

The occasion, which also marks the 65th anniversary of Ghana attaining republican status, will be commemorated across all 16 regions and 261 districts, uniting the nation under one collective spiritual canopy.
