LIVE UPDATES: Medeama vs Asante Kotoko (Special Competition)

We conclude our coverage of matchday two of the Normalization Committee’s Special Competition with the game between Medeama SC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko and T and A park in Tarkwa.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko are targeting their second win of the competition when they take on the Yellow and Mauves who will be playing their first game of the competition after their week one tie against Bechem Chelsea was rescheduled.

Medeama coach Samuel Boadu has been speaking ahead of the game and he is confident about his team’s chance.

"We are ready for the game against Asante Kotoko. They are favourites but we’ll give off our best on Thursday in Tarkwa,” coach Boadu said in a press-match conference.

"We have absolute respect for Kotoko. They played in Africa and have the best team in Ghana at the moment. We must work hard against them. We can’t be among the favourites. We are just working hard at training. We have to wait to see.”

A win will send Kotoko to the top of Zone A after leaders AshantiGold drew with Bechem United.

Kotoko will however have to navigate this game without Wahab Adams and Dany Zabo Teguy.
