Kwesi Pratt criticizes TB Joshua over prophecy

Kwesi Pratt Jnr, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, has questioned the authenticity of TB Joshua's prophecy on Ghana and her neighbouring country, Nigeria.

To him, "common sense" shows that Ghana could be a target of a terrorist act.

He noted that there is a strong feel of doubt in TB Joshua's prophecy because the man of God failed to be specific on the exact day and country that the attacks may occur.

The seasoned journalist stated that "if God has indeed spoken to him, then TB Joshua did not help us."

This, he added, is because Ghana is a large country with several regions and places, and so giving a general prophecy puts the nation on tenterhooks - to wit not knowing what to do and where exactly to avert the terrorist threats.

Commenting on the prophecy by TB Joshua that there is going to be "foreign attacks" on Ghana and Nigeria on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, Mr. Pratt, contributing to a panel discussion on PeaceFM's "Kokrokoo" asked; "Is this how prophecy is made? Because if this is how prophecy is pronounced, then we can all prophesy. To say that if you’re not careful, Ghana will be under attack. And it could be Thursday, Friday or Saturday but we should pray hard. If we pray, the terrorist can see the direction and turn; so they may turn from Ghana to Nigeria or turn from Nigeria to Iceland?”

To him, it is likely that Nigeria could experience another attack from the militant group, Boko Haram and it doesn't take a prophetic word from any man of God to alert the country because already there have been similar attacks.

He also urged the security forces in Ghana to step up their game and ensure they avert any act of terrorism.

“It is possible. You don’t have to be a Prophet to know that it is possible. Common sense shows that it is possible," he said.
